Snow avalanche barriers are used in the prevention of snow avalanches. The system uses the combination of flexible nets and high yield anchors. The placement of the system is pre-engineered by avalanche experts to pinpoint the exact locations on the slope where the system is to be installed.

Although these systems are extensively used throughout Europe,

• Janod installed the only Brugg System in North America in Snoqualmie Pass, Washington State, in the year 2000.

• The system is also the largest snow avalanche barrier installed in the world.
