Specialty Minerals

Specialty Minerals is a "pharmaceutical grade limestone" quarry in Maine North Adams Massachusetts. Janod was first called in 2001 to scale out some unstable rock and anchor in potentially unstable structures. The immediate benefits of the program were obvious and well received by both the miners and the management that they decided to implement a program to deal with stabilization issues. We have been working with the quarry ever since maintaining the slopes to assure a safe working environment for the miners.
