Slope Stabilization Cedar Bluff Virginia

Using standard design practices the slope at cedar bluff was designed with a catch bench and a rockfall fence at the end of the fence to catch any rock falling from the rock slope. Unfortunately the launch features present on the slope were projecting the falling rock over the slope and into live traffic below. This situation was unacceptable so Janod was called in to remediate the slope by installing a wire mesh slope drape system. The system would allow the rock to fall down the slope while controlling the energies, velocity and projection to contain the material on the designed catch bench.
