Big Stone Gap, VirginiaSlope Stabilization Wire MeshAfter many years of rock slope instability and many close calls Janod worked with the state State of Virginia DOT to remediate the slope located in an area called Big Stone Gap. There was no design for the construction so we had some drawings made up to illustrate the installation design for the mesh and it was instantly approved by the State. Since then the design we submitted has become the standard for the installation of double twist mesh slope drape installations. This slope had been a problem for the State and citizens for many years causing damage to vehicles and injuries to the travelling public. The Janod crew installed over 1 million square feet of mesh on to the slope without any traffic interruptions and almost no inconvenience to the travelling public or the local residents.
